A detailed timeline…
Hey all. So here we’re going to provide a detailed timeline of events for all applications / filings - green card, removal of conditions, and naturalization.
Green Card
August 29, 2020: we made our initial inquiry with Boundless Immigration. From here, we decided to think about it and consider our options for a few days.
September 4, 2020: we paid our fee with Boundless. It was $950 for the premium service. This same day were got our initial contact from our Boundless rep and from the independent immigration attorney (provided as part of the premium service).
September 5, 2020: we began filling out the online questionnaire and gathering documents.
September 9, 2020: Girl had her medical exam. The medical was only good for 60 days, which put us on the clock to submit everything. November 8 was our deadline. Rookie mistake - should not have done the medical so early.
September 30, 2020: we received our first document check email after submitting 120 documents; they accepted 119. They provide 4 additional tasks for us to complete and asked for 1 more document.
October 1, 2020: we submitted the additional information requested and completed our additional tasks. We’re now waiting for Quality Assurance (QA) to start.
October 5, 2020: QA began, at which point some back and forth began.
October 13, 2020: QA was completed, at which point we got 6 additional questions seeking clarification.
October 19, 2020: we received our completed draft package. We had to review and provide any edits we thought were either necessary or wanted.
October 20, 2020: we submitted our edits, at which point they revised the documents.
October 26, 2020: our independent attorney completed review of our application package, asked a few questions, and had a few edits. We responded to her items same day.
October 28, 2020: the back and forth with the attorney ended and everything was completed. We were waiting on printing now.
October 29, 2020: the package was printed and shipped to us.
November 1, 2020: our application package was mailed overnight to USCIS.
Early December 2020: we received receipts for the filings dated November 28, 2020 with the Receipt Numbers and indication the “received date” for our applications were November 2, 2020.

Removal of Conditions (ROC)
May 1, 2023: we selected RapidVisa to assist in the filing and created our account with them. At that point, someone reached out about us creating the account (actual person), we had a little back and forth, and left it there until we paid for their services.
May 4, 2023: we paid RapidVisa - it was $549 to prepare, assemble, and submit / mail the application for us. On this date we were also assigned our specialist, who was our point-of-contact during the preparation process.
May 8, 2023: we completed and submitted everything requested, at which point the documents went to “Comprehensive Review.”
May 22, 2023: after much back and forth, complaining about delays, and a few phone calls, comprehensive review was completed. At this point they had us print and sign the required pages, and mail them the wet-signed pages, along with the filing fee, which was $680. We mailed it overnight back to them in Las Vegas, which was $28.75.
May 23, 2023: we received notification that they received our package back.
May 24, 2023: we received notification they they received the check for the filing fee. Apparently these go to different departments; they were mailed together, so not sure why the 1-day difference.
May 26, 2023: we received notification they were still waiting on information. At this point, we got very frustrated since we thought we were done and everything was good. But apparently, some supporting documents were still outstanding. We gathered them, and submitted over the next few days.
June 8, 2023: the package went to “Final Check.” This was after much back and forth about the process with them. We were frustrated and annoyed.
June 9, 2023: RapidVisa mailed our package to USCIS.
Late June 2023: we received the receipt for the filing dated June 17, 2023 with the Receipt Number and indication the “received date” for our application was June 12, 2023.

June 2025: we received notice that Girl’s interview had been scheduled for August 5, 2025.
